We address widespread poverty to provide practical & emotional support

Story

The Lighthouse is a vibrant hub that hosts a range of creative projects to support, encourage, and empower those who find themselves on the margins. Projects at The Lighthouse in Woking are incredibly varied with a mission to address the widespread poverty of resources, relationships, and identity. The common theme is to encourage, empower, and equip people and to see lives transformed through kindness, belief, and hope.

Some of the many projects run at the Lighthouse to support our local community are a food bank, chat and support, winter warmers, style studio, offering free clothing to help people get back into work and feel good about themselves, free haircuts, Ukrainian hub, community lunch, money advice, the Jigsaw project, supplying free clothing and equipment for children and babies, prayer cafe, a hygiene bank, baking table project teaching people to cook and many more incredible life changing projects.

Our Lenten fundraising at SJB will all go to helping those within our local community in Woking.
